Activation of the Vitsab L5-8 Smart TTI Seafood Label
To activate the Vitsab L5-8 Smart TTI Seafood Label, you apply gentle pressure on the “window” to break the seal between the enzyme and substrate mini pouches. Then, by moving your index finger or wallpaper seem roller back and forth eight to ten times, you mix the two chemical components and the enzymatic reaction is initiated. A good mixing is recognized by a homogenous green color in the “window”.
Reading the Vitsab L5-8 Smart TTI Seafood Labels
The TTI ampoule window in the center of the words “Check Point” changes color from green to orange to red. Use the colors printed on the label as an approximate color reference. When the ampoule reaches an orange/red color, the L5-8 Smart TTI Seafood Label has reached its preset time-temperature response time. If the ampoule is “more” red than the color reference – it has passed the preset time-temperature response time.

In the green box are examples of the TTI labels at various stages of thermal exposure. When the dot is green, this represents how the L5-8 Smart TTI Seafood Label should look under perfect shipping conditions. If the dot is yellow to light orange the product has not been compromised by time/temperature exposure.
In the orange box are examples of L5-8 Smart TTI Seafood Label where the fresh seafood products could have been compromised by time/temperature exposure.
The TTI with the white dot indicates that the TTI has not been activated and the safety of the product can not be guaranteed.
The TTI with the red dot that is the same color as the arrow indicates that there has been thermal exposure over the safe levels recommended by the FDA.
DO NOT USE the product in either case and contact your fresh seafood supplier.
DO NOT USE the product if label is white, it has not been activated and cannot indicate temperature abuse during transport.
